Junior Olympics 2015
After some great pool results from Emon Daroian (5-1) and Stephen Ewart (4-2), the two cadet men's epeeists met each other in the round of 64 to get to top 32. The score remained close but Stephen edged out Emon as time ran out with a 15-11 victory. Stephen then went on to win his next two bouts to end up in top 8 where he eventually lost to Robin Cheong for an overall 7th place medal finish in the Cadet Men's Epee event. Emon finished 37th and is still a Y14 fencer. Congratulations to both Emon and Stephen and good luck in the future! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations to Olivia Xu, Rachel Bang, Jamie Bang, Caitlin Mckenna, Aidan Kung, Esther Ruiz, Emon Daroian, and Stephen Ewart for all qualifying to compete at the upcoming Summer Nationals in either or both Junior and Cadet events.
***Correction*** We regrettably left out one of our Cadet fencers, Emily Beihold, who also qualified for both Cadet and Junior at the upcoming Summer Nationals. She had an excellent pool result in Cadet Women's Epee with a 5 win - 1 loss record after a long and persistent injury. Great job and we are sincerely apologetic for unintentionally leaving her name out from the post above. Keep up the great work and we look forward to seeing her future endeavors and achievements!***
