We only had one fencer compete in the mixed epee event, but one was all that was needed for a great showing for Swords Fencing Studio. Out of a strong 29 fencers and 8 A's, Emon Daroian, a B15, fenced his way to the top and took home the GOLD medal and an A15! He fenced Justin Yoo, 2-time Junior Men's Epee World Championship Team member, in the finals and edged him out with a final score of 15-12! Great job and excellent fencing to Emon! Keep up the awesome work!

Irene Yeu fenced in her first SYC as well and has also been fencing a little under a year. She fenced in the Y12 Women's Epee event and took home the GOLD medal! She fenced incredibly well and put up great effort! Great job and we look forward to what these two have to offer in the future!

Stafford Moosekian fenced in the Y12 Men's Epee event and finished 16th in a strong field of 32 losing to Aaron Lee 15-14! He still has another year in Y12 so good job and keep up the good work! In the Women's Epee event, Emily Beihold took 8th place in a field of 32 women and earned her C15! Great job! Congrats to Caitlin Mckenna, Mary Huang, Olivia Xu, and Rachel Bang for finishing 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th respectively.
