Stafford Moosekian 2nd Place in Y12 Men's Epee

While Stephen was away, the youth fencers took to another RYC or Regional Youth Circuit in San Francisco at the Treasure Island Gym. 8 fencers made the journey and we came away with 6 medals! Stafford Moosekian, Irene Yeu, Chris Kim, Nathan Brenner, Annette Lee, Edward Lee, Kristen Kim, and Jana Mae Rubio traveled with Coach Sorah Shin to the event. 

On Saturday, Stafford Moosekian in his first year of Y12 took home the Silver medal! Irene Yeu fenced in the women's Y12 Epee event and was awarded the 7th place medal.

Sunday was a full day. In the Y14 Men's Epee event, Nathan Brenner took home the Bronze. Chris Kim finished 9th and Stafford Moosekian placed an impressive 12th. In Y10 Men's Epee, Edward Lee fought hard and won the bronze medal as well after losing to the eventual Gold medal finisher. In the Y14 Women's Epee event, Annette Lee and Irene Yeu both took home Bronze medals. Kristen Kim finished in a strong 10th place after losing to teammate Annette Lee. Jana Mae Rubio placed 19th in her first year fencing.
