Congratulations to our Veteran fencers who competed and earned medals at this past NAC held in Reno, NV. Michele Chimienti(pictured right), after a long stint away from fencing, took home the gold medal in the Vet-40 Women's epee event, earning a B15 and her best result yet in the Veteran Division! Great job and keep up the good work! Mary Huang(pictured below) did an excellent job and fought hard in the final to end up taking the Silver medal in the Vet-50 Women's Epee event. Excellent job!

Swords had a great weekend with great results this past weekend at the Annual Meade Anderson RYC 2015 held at LAIFC. In the Y12 Women's Epee event, Irene Yeu took home her second Gold medal of the season to put her firmly in first place overall in the Regional 4 rankings. Alice Oganesian took 5th place after an excellent pool showing. Great improvement! Excellent job girls! Keep up the hard work!

In the Y14 Men's Epee Event, Nathan Brenner with his best result finished 2nd and Chris Kim placed third. They both earned their D15 ratings and are seen on the left with Coach Sorah. All three are also on the right taking a celebratory "selfie". Amazing job guys!

In the Y10 Men's Epee event, Rowan Hicks(not pictured), after a nail-biting Gold medal bout, wins the Gold with a 10-9 win over Matthew Dao, the 7th ranked national Y10 fencer. Excellent job! Riley Chilvers also finished in 5th while Thien Scofield placed 8th in his first RYC event. Amazing job guys and hopefully more pictures to come!!! Great job! Nice job to Annette Lee for placing 8th in the Y14 Women's Epee event as well! Excellent job and we are excited to see what the future brings for our bright young fencers!
