We had one fencer compete at the last Cadet World Cup of the season and he comes away with a top 8 finish!!!
Emon Daroian and Coach Tigran Shaginian traveled all the way to Bratislava to fence in the relatively tough Cadet World Cup. Emon fenced incredibly well and lost to the eventual Gold Medalist, Ryan Griffiths, in the top 8! Way to go! He finished an amazing 6th place out of 227 fencers. Emon also fenced with the 2nd USA team and they ended up with a Silver medal out of 36 teams losing to Team USA 1! What a great tournament for Swords and the US! Congratulations to Emon and Coach Tigran! Let's carry this success into Junior Olympics as well!

In Y10 Women's Epee, she finished with the Bronze medal! She fought hard and earned her spot in the top 4 with a strong 10-4 victory over her top 8 opponent. In Y12 Women's Epee, she earned her first Y12 medal with an 8th place finish!! She fenced against bigger and more experienced girls and won her first Y12 medal even after a tough pool result.
